Former ”X Factor” U.K. finalist Amelia Lily had Twitter abuzz on March 21, 2012, after it was reported that she fainted at an “X Factor” concert that night at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England.
News quickly spread over the Internet, and “Stay Strong Amelia Lily” became a trending topic on Twitter.
Lily, 17, responded with these messages on Twitter:
“Hey guys thanks for all the messages. Didn’t faint on stage!!!! Was unable to do encore but everything is fine thank you again for support.”
“Cannot believe ‘Amelia Lily is beautiful’ is trending, you guys are literally the cutest.”
Lily came in third place on “The X Factor” U.K. in 2011. She is currently on “The X Factor” U.K. 2012 tour, which ends in early April. She has signed a deal with Xenomania, a new Sony Music label. Her debut album is due out before the end of 2012.
Lily recorded a duet with “The X Factor” U.K. judge Kelly Rowland (who was Lily’s mentor on the show), but the name of the song has not yet been publicly revealed. The duet will most likely be on Lily’s album.

I have added a few new photos of Amelia performing on the X-Factor tour and a new candid.

X Factor finalist Amelia Lily was rejected at her first audition, having only made the cut after sending in a video months later.
Amelia, who ended up finishing third in last year’s show, had originally tried out at auditions in Cardiff last summer, but was turned down by the show’s producers without ever seeing the judges.
“It was mental when we got to the ground, with thousands of people,” Amelia’s dad revealed. “They called rows of seats down, block by block, to audition in these little booths around the pitch.
“I could hear Amelia singing well so I was quite confident, but when she came out she just shook her head. I was gobsmacked.
“We got in the car, had a KFC and drove home, thinking that was that.”
But Amelia didn’t let the rejection deter her, and went on to submit an online video audition via YouTube which can be seen below.
“A few days later, we got a phone call saying they wanted her to perform in front of the judges at Liverpool, and the rest is history!” her Dad added.

X Factor finalist Amelia Lily has revealed she’s working on her debut album whilst taking part in the show’s live tour.
The teenager reportedly signed a three-year, £500,000 record deal with Girls Aloud hitmakers Xenomania earlier this month.
Speaking about working on the record, Amelia told a local newspaper: “I’ve been working with some amazing people, people that I never dreamt of working with.”
17-year-old Amelia, who finished third on last year’s show, is currently taking part in the X Factor live arena tour, which continues tonight in Nottingham.
She confessed: “It’s hectic and tiring, but touring, that’s the life I want to lead. I’ve been given this opportunity I want to grab it with both hands”
“The fans have been amazing, joining in with the songs and chanting your name. It really makes you go wow.”
